The pearls commonly used in instant pearl products or beverage shops often contain modified starch, which is added to enhance the texture of the pearls and extend their shelf life by chemically altering the natural structure of the starch. However, prolonged consumption of this chemical starch may impose a burden on the digestive system and lead to discomfort such as bloating.

Taiwan Anya spent eight months collaborating with machinery manufacturers to develop a specialized measuring machine for pearl production. This machine achieves automated vacuum packaging, accurately measuring liquid and cooked pearl tapioca entering the packaging film, ensuring that each pack of instant pearls maintains the optimal ratio of pearls to flavored syrup.
